Hi, I was awarded 12 points by the tribunal for care in 2018, and 4 for mobility everything regarding my conditions remain the same. I asked for the pa4 form and from the look of it I will be very likely to just receive 8 points for care and 0 for mobility.

We are all well aware that the DM goes with what has been written in the pa4.
The pa4 report significantly excludes/dilutes several things regarding my issues.

Would it be worth sending what the tribunal awarded to the DM along with my concerns about the pa4 form now? - or just wait and do the mandatory reconsideration then the tribunal again?

Thank you for your help xx

I'm in esa support- will any change to pip alert DWP to review the esa? All this is so stressful (considering I have mental health problems)

Would absolutely love your advice xx

There’s no harm in sending more information. Whether it will arrive before a decision is made is another matter.
The DM will know you were awarded by a Tribunal.
Work capability assessment reviews are still suspended and they are unlikely to start back anytime soon. PIP and ESA are different benefits anyway.

Thank you for your help poppyxx The information I want to send would just highlight what the assessment failed to consider...the areas where it was not accurately 'observed ' etc. Maybe reminding the DM that the tribunal points still apply now and exactly the same evidence was used that time....
It's just awful having to go through it all again!:((((((

I hate that the hcp just dismisses certain things due to not receiving any mental health help - unfortunately my mental health means I try to avoid a lot of contact with the medical profession...i just want to be left alone:((
Maybe I just need to calm down for today and think about my next step tomorrow:((((

Why do they make us feel like this?

Nb as the video call is relatively new, do dwp have a recording of this? I am hoping they do but I am realistically thinking that they aren't recorded....hopefully someone will be able to clarify..
    Thanks for your help xx

Assessments aren't automatically recorded. If you want it recorded you can ask them or record it yourself.

Hi poppy - what if the assessment was hypothetically covert recorded (just audio)....would this help convey the inaccuracies/ downplaying of information? I have read mixed advice- some mention it to the DWP in the MR stage and/the tribunal stage?....is it worth the risk?
What if the recording cleared up the points that weren't accurately written by the hcp?

A recording of an assessment isn't going to get you a PIP award, neither is concentrating on the assessment report. Did you record the assessment?

Even if there are "inaccuracies" in the report, it doesn't necessarily mean you will receive an award. It depends on how you condition affects you.. My PIP assessment had inaccuracies but I still couldn't get enough points  even with accurate information. Knowing how the descriptors work is extremely useful in a PIP claim.
