Pip change of circumstances

Hi, I’m new here and thought I’d post because I’m stressing a bit. I got awarded pip back in 2019 for mental health issues, I have EUPD. I recently got diagnosed with autism as well and my quality of life has severely diminished since I was last awarded. I was due to be reviewed in may of this year so I decided to ring up and report a change. Now I’m worried I shouldn’t have done that. How likely am I to still get awarded? I’m so worried they’re going to take it away and I need it to be able to live. Has anyone got any experience with reporting a change? Has it gone well? Badly? Will I be likely to attend another assessment?

A worsening of condition doesn't automatically entite you to more points for a higher award. Whether you're entitled to more points will totally depend on how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors.

I would always advise gettting some expert advice before reporting changes, especially if you don't fully understand the descriptors and what they mean. Not many people do.

I can't tell you whether it's possible to score more points because i don't know anything about how your conditions affect you. For any PIP claim, whether it's first time, review or a change of circumstances your award could either stay the same, be increased, decrease or stop completely.

Your existing award will continue until a decision is made on your claim.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

I would just like to add a warm welcome @chloeanne, particularly as a fellow autistic.

I can hear you are stressed at the moment, would anything help to make this feel more manageable and less stressful for you at the moment?
