Hi I wondering if someone can help, I have been awarded LCWRAtoday but they have said it’s been put on my ESA claim not my universal credit but they are chasing it up to be on my universal credit, I’ve been sending sick notes since august last year do you know if I will get a back payment? Any advice would be great.
Thanks Emmy

It will apply to UC and ESA. (Support Group) For UC there's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time and the extra money is paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition. Providing you sent a fit note within 7 days of that and continued to send them without any gaps until a decision was made on your WCA.When it's paid from exactly will depend on what date you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note and what date you usually receive your UC.Based on the limited information you gave it will be paid from either Dec or Jan. Your ESA will continue to be deducted in full from your UC entitlement but the ESA will increase to £117.60/week from the 14th week of your claim.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

For the LCWRA element it's not paid at all during the waiting period. Without knowing the answer to the questions i asked it's impossible to tell you exactly when it's paid from.poppy123456 said:will depend on what date you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note and what date you usually receive your UC.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please.
