Hello I had my last renewal in September 2019 and got award then until September 2022 well because of COVID 19 they moved it up until June 2023 so by the being of July 22 I received my renewal form but it arrived 10 days later because it said on the form the 1st July 22 and needed to be in by 1st August 22 well I had to ring them for an extra 2 weeks so I can get help with the form so they give me until 12th August 22.. well I got the help and posted it back to them and then I got a text saying they have received my form which was the 8th August 22 and they will be in touch well I waited and waited and I ended up in November 22 and got in touch with my local MP and she sent me a letter from them saying because there's a backlog it's going to take a bit of time to sort my claim ... Ve also got welfare rights helping me and still nothing but texts every so often and my reward ends the 1st June 23 so it's really stressing and I'm not coping with my depression either and with my other I'll help it's not right hanging on like this
Friends have told me that they will still pay me in which I do know but I think it's not right leaving people so long

Your MP was correct, there's backlogs because they've been concentrating on new claims for quite some time. Due to Covid a lot more people have started a PIP claim which has increased the backlogs for reviews. You're not the only person that's been waiting quite sometime. We have some members that have been waiting more than a year. You'll likely need another assessment and most are done through telephone, some are face to face and video call. If this is needed you'll be contacted. Unfortunately, there's nothing more you can do but wait.0
