Hello @Joanne99
I'm sorry you had to go through a compliance interview because people are so nosey! Glad it all went well though0 -
Unfortunately this is the real world.
The DWP put it out there to the general public that if they see or hear something that could help them defeat benefit fraud then they are to ring their hotline.
Obviously in this case whoever reported the matter must have been aware that the poster was in receipt of benefits and possibly which benefit.
The DWP are more than happy to receive these reports working on the basis that maybe just one report out of a hundred highlights fraud so they have to investigate all of the reports.
Bit of advice - never tell anybody where your income comes from and if you have a Motability car simply say that it is a leased car.1 -
I've learnt there is no body out there close friend family etc that you can ever trust with personal matters it's best you always keep personal matters to yourself.0

It sounds really difficult that you don't feel able to trust anyone, including friends and family @anth22. Has something happened this means you struggle to trust them?
I will say it's really important to open up and talk to people when you feel able and comfortable to.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you0 -
Yes to much has happened to me over the years the only person I trust is my counsellor, my trust in people has been destroyed I keep myself to myself I haven't got one single friend but I have my grandchildren and that's all I need from life.

I can completely hear how negative experiences could reduce your trust @anth22 Really positive to hear you trust your counsellor though!
Do you feel like counselling is helping you at the moment? Aww, your grandchildren sound extra special to you0
