Hi everyone. Today I went to the funeral of my husbands best friend.
He was a biker and arrived in a side car, something I have never seen before.
I know he would have loved to see this himself.
Lots of old friends where there, it was quite touching.
Now I am back home and on my own again. I am feeling very lonely, and sad, like all my life has gone. So I have come on here to say "hello" to you as I hope you are my new friends.

Evening @easy sorry you are feeling alone, I'm always here if you want someone to talk to here and pm.
Sounds a nice funeral, when my bf died he was escorted by about 25 bikers. It was a nice sight. Also I didn't know until then, but only the head biker is allowed in the church or crematorium as its considered bad luck, if they all go in, the vicar told us all.
You've always got freinds here0 -
Hi @easy, I often feel as you do.
But on this forum there are many kind, friendly people who will engage with you and make you feel that you are not alone but part of this community.
I hope that you will feel able to join in and feel included. Wishing you all the best.0 -

Hello @easy
I'm so sorry for your loss. I wanted to reach out as you are not alone.
If there is anything we can do at Scope to help you, please let us know. You can always email us on community@scope.org.uk.0 -
Hi @easy, it sounds like your husband's best friend had a great send off and that there were many people there who thought a lot of him.
I think funerals can make us assess our own life sometimes. I am sure that being alone when you got home would have been difficult as you'd have been left with thoughts of sadness and loss. I hope you have managed to distract yourself a little.
Sending you kindness and all best wishes xx0 -
Hi @easy I just wanted to check in and see how you are feeling today.0

Thank you everyone for all your kindness and caring, it really has been a comfort to know I am not alone but among friends. @Sandy_123 Thank you for telling me that just one of the bikers goes into the crematorium, I did not know that. When the service was going on I could hear a humming noise in the background, is it possible this could have been the bikers outside running there engines?
Thankyou all once again.

@Sandy_123 thanks so much it makes it so much easier to think that is what the noise was.
I have no idea why it should make a difference but it does.
