DLA REVIEW…..I sent my sons form out by special delivery in jan and have heard nothing back. Previous years I’ve received a letter saying payments would carry on etc. nothing has changed, his needs are still the same etc. I’ve had a letter today saying carers allowance is due to end because his DLA award is due to end too. This makes me think the form I sent has got lost and they obviously think I just didn’t send one back. If I call them can they sort it? So stressed

    There's delays with DLA decisions. All you can do is ring them to ask if the DLA award will be extended until the decision is made on the review.

    Thankyou, I’ll call them Monday. Didn’t know they could do an extension. Are they usually quite willing to do so?

    I have no idea for DLA, which is why i advised to ring and ask. The reason you received the letter from carers allowance is because the DLA is due to end, so it's correct. It doesn't mean DLA haven't received your form.
