I am a home carer. I recently experienced a male client perform a sexual act where he wanted me to join in during my visit which has left me anxious and vulnerable at work. I reported this to the police and the man involved has to be charged. My employers don't seem to understand how it has affected me. I eventually had to take some time of work due to anxiety and stress. I returned to work this week to find that they had taken away all my regular clients and left me with no clients. I now don't know on a day to day basis where I will be working. I have to attend a stress risk assessment and need some advice on how to make sure they help me with adjustments at work.

Hi @mckhel welcome to the forum. That sounds awful what you had to see. You did the right thing in contacting the police, well done you. I would ask for a meeting with your supervisor and discuss your worries and concerns. Also might be worth joining an union to support you

    Hello @mckhel

    Welcome to the community!

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Do you feel you are getting support from the police side of things? I just wanted you to know, there are some amazing organisations out there like SHOUT if you ever want to talk to someone about your anxiety. You can even make a self referral through the NHS

I echo Sandy's suggestion to join a union or speak to yours if you have one. I'd also suggest reaching out to Citizen's Advice
