Phone Assessment

Morning people..
I applied for PIP in January, did the whole application online and submitted some evidence as well, I am sight impaired. I received a txt message yesterday saying i have an appointment on the 20th with Independent Assessment Services, says it normally lasts about an hour.
I take it this is my assessment, so it wont be in person, it will be done on the phone?
Any advice for it at all? do people that have gone through the process prefer a phone assessment or face to face?
Thanks

@Wilsonwinehouse
Hi I hope your well.
I have had 2 f2f assessments and then had one by telephone in January 2023.
I much preferred the telephone one, as felt better in my own surroundings.
I wish you well for yours and would be nice to hear how you get on.
Take care ❤️1 -

The text should tell you if it's f2f will be at an assessment centre your text should say if it's f2f or phone
Decisions take 2 to 12 weeks after dwp get your report back from the assessment1
