Hello,
My partner applied for PIP in Decemeber 2022 and had her phone assessment in February 2023. Earlier today she phoned DWP to see if there had been any updates. During the call the automated messenger stated she would receive her first payment on 20/03, hearing this she thought an award had been made in her favour. However, once speaking with the agent he stated it seemed she had been awarded PIP on 27/2 and then on 6/3 had the award denied. I won't be able to disclose further until the letter arrives but just wondering if this had happenend to anyone previously? Regards Lee

I used to work for an advice centre and I've heard of PIP being awarded and then denied before, usually due to a mistake with the points awarded, being given more points than they should have been. If this has happened in your case then all you can do is appeal the points awarded, someone more knowledgeable about PIP might respond to your post.0

It could have been that there was an error when adding up the points. Errors are made also when there's no award but should be an award because they haven't added the points correctly. When you receive the decision letter check carefully what points were awarded and add them up. Remember the daily living is added separately to the mobility part.If you're not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration.0
