Hi, i recently recieved a letter stating I will be placed into lcwra.
My first sicknote was provided on October 10th 2022. My payday is 23rd of every month.
It's currently 10th march and I was wondering when my first payment will be and will there be any backpay?
I also did have a 6 day gap in one of my monthly sicknotes. (January) will this affect anything? All my other sicknotes were early or on time.
Thanks

There's a full 3 month waiting period for LCWRA from the date you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note. It's then paid from the 4th month of your claim. It's not paid at all during the waiting period. If they accept the gap in your fit note then your waiting period will be Oct to Jan... LCWRA starts from assessment period 17th Jan to 16th Feb and first payment will be Feb 23rd.If they don't accept the gap then your waiting period will be from Jan and first payment will either be May or June.Any money owed will be paid separately to your usual monthly money and often takes a few weeks to pay it.0
