It's not the job of the assessor to record what you say word for word, they just need to check you fit the descriptors.0

That's right @BellaBoo0512 the wait can sometimes be longer than 8 weeks, sometimes 12 or more, and unfortunately there's not way of knowing exactly when you'll hear more. I'm glad the assessor gave you time and you feel things went okay
You've done everything you need to, so to help take your mind off things, focus on what you enjoy doing, or people whose company you enjoy- it's easier said than done I know!
You are more than welcome to spend time on the forum if it helps, you can visit the coffee lounge to chat with other members and play games.1 -

Thank you @Alex_Scope I will take a look. I think the worst part is the waiting. I suffer with anxiety and the waiting seems to be making this worse so I’m trying my best to put it to the back of my mind until I receive a decision. I have chosen not to request the report as I don’t want this to add to my anxiety 😥0

Some people feel that's the best thing, not asking for the report It sounds like you understand your triggers well @BellaBoo0512, so just do what you can.
If you do need a hand with anything in the meantime, please ask!0 -

Hi I hope you’re well, I just wanted to welcome you to the community, it’s a great place to chat get advice and play games.
I hope you don’t have too long to wait till you hear back although it can take upto 12 weeks.Take care ❤️1 -
@BellaBoo0512 I believe you have to ask for any details on the decision, if you want to challenge it, or you'd like to understand better.
Turn2Us has excellent information and guidance on how to challenge PIP a decision, it says on their website:If you don’t understand the decision, you can ask the DWP to explain it.I hope that helps
You don’t have to get an explanation before you challenge a decision. You may want to ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration straight away.To ask for an explanation, contact the DWP using the details on the decision letter. It is a good idea to keep a record when you contact the DWP. You can also ask for a copy of the assessment report so you can see what information the DWP used to make their decision.
The DWP can explain their decision over the phone or in writing. If you don’t have an explanation in your decision letter and you want an explanation in writing, you can ask for a written statement of reasons.

Asking for the report can definitely be stress inducing, my hubby just waited for the award letter0

Hi just a little update to say that I received a text from DWP this morning to say that I have been awarded PIP, this is such a big relief and only 6 days from my assessment so a quick turnaround. By the looks of it I have been awarded standard daily living and nothing for mobility but I am grateful for anything0

Congrats @BellaBoo0512. It will definately make life a little bit easier for you.0
