Had to reregister folowing the loss of my job due to ill health as my account was no longer revognised.
Trying to negotiate the 'benefits' system has been a nightmare and It all changes again apparently later this year when I become old enough to retire (finally). I am so glad I managed to keep working as long as I did, although it doesn't seem to have done me any real favours as I was unaware of support I could have been getting for several years!
Although it isnt actually the money I sp desperately want or need, a few hours a week working from home would give me something like my dignity back!
Unfortunately my old job is just not doable from home.
I look forward to getting to know people and sorting myself out.
Marie

Hello @MarieBarl and a warm welcome to our online community, how's your Friday going?
The proposed changes to the benefits system announced by the Chancellor this week, won't be enacted - if at all - for several years yet, so please try not to worry about that. And, are you now in receipt of the benefits you're entitled to? You can do a Benefits calculator to check out what you'd be eligible for in your position.
Whilst, there's lots of remote jobs about that you can carry out from home with an internet connection if that's something you want to explore more in time? Scope have some great Employment services who can help too, so perhaps give them a little nosey.
It's fab to have you back and I really hope we can chat again soon! Have a lovely weekend and take care of yourself.0
