Hello
I’m sorry as I realise there are many posts related to LCWRA but as each is different depending on circumstances I’m finding it difficult to determine when I’ll begin receiving my new payments.
I’m sorry as I realise there are many posts related to LCWRA but as each is different depending on circumstances I’m finding it difficult to determine when I’ll begin receiving my new payments.
Background: I first informed UC of my health conditions 17/11/22. I couldn’t get a fit note until 02/12/22. Uploaded.
My assessment period is the first of each month until the last day of each month. Pay date is always 7th of each month.
I had my assessment 02/03/23. Award notice added to journal 16/03/2023. No payment info just the letter confirmation that I had been successfull.
Please can anyone with experience & knowledge let me know if I’ll begin receiving my new payments on April 7th please? Or should it have been 7th March which they will now owe me?
Extra info: I was told to self certify by doctors the week prior to sending in my first sick note which is dated 02/12/22. It was for 4 months so I know I don’t need anymore now since iv been successful. But Should I ask for that first sick note to be reviewed by the doctors to cover the week I was on self certify? Would this make any difference? I was seeing the doctors throughout this period so they know I was genuinely not well before my sick note was actually issued.
Thank you very much in advance.
Gemma

When you report your health condition, you're supposed to send a fit note within 7 days of that. If you don't do that then it can affect when the extra money is paid from. There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time. The extra money is then paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition, supported by a fit note within 7 days of that.Based on the information you gave if they go from when you sent your first fit note your waiting period will be Jan to March.. LCWRA starts from AP 1st April to 31st April and first payment will be 7th May 2023.They don't usually accept backdated fit notes. However, if they go from when you reported your health condition then your first payment will be 7th April. It will be down to a decision maker to decide when it's paid from. Either way there's no LCWRA element owed.0
