Reconsideration

Good Afternoon
I have recently had PIP standard living and standard mobility awarded for 10 years. Overall I am happy about this but decided to ask for a reconsideration on mobility. I have many chronic muskoskeletal problems and don't walk any further than to my car which is measured at around 15 metres. I have 2 mobility scooters a transportable and a 8 mph scooter which I use out of the car.
I suffer with anxiety and struggle when on the phone and when asked about how far I could walk I said I only walk as far as my car. The interviewer said how far is it and I said I don't know. I said probably 30 metres away as I had no real idea and could not think straight. Since that I measured it to be 15 metres.
A friend as said that you might lose your claim altogether or they may reduce the length of the claim. I am a little concerned because I used my backpay to buy a replacement mobility scooter.
Is there any statistics or realistic chance of them denying the original decision. Getting a little stressed now and not sure. Can you ring them back and cancel the mandatory reconsideration or should I just let it go through and wait and see.
I know there's no crystal ball just hoping that the forum may have had some experience of this.
Thanks..

Helo duc749Congratulations on your 10 year PIP award.
To a point your friend is correct but it is very rare for a MR to be reduced and if it is you can appeal the decision.duc749 said:A friend as said that you might lose your claim altogether or they may reduce the length of the claim. Thanks very much for the response. I will let the MR run its course if there is no requirement to replay the backpay.
That's what was worrying me for sure and it's good to know.
Thanks Again.0 -
It is really positive to hear you are feeling less worried now @duc749. Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you
