I've always had a issue with believing in myself and I've been reading that people with Adhd self loath . So despite not having had my assessment yet I'm wondering????????.

I apologise my last post was incorrect. What I was supposed to have put was Not liking ourselves is an Adhd trait . I dislike myself all the time . That thought comes into my mind regularly. I apologise unreservedly for my mistake. Sorry 😞.

Sorry to hear you're disliking yourself @Strawberry1, take it easy on yourself today if you can.

I can't say whether it's an ADHD trait or not, but I think a lot of people with disabilities in general have struggled with self esteem issues or liking themselves at some point during their lives. Maybe one of our lovely neurodivergent members can offer some better insight than I can on that one. But I will say that sometimes if you feel as if you don't fit in to the norms of 'society' in some way, or you can see that life just looks easier for everyone else, it can often feel more difficult to like who you are.

    How are you feeling today?

Once again I really appreciate your time. I hope you have a good rest of your day πŸ’—.

That's no problem @Strawberry1 and I'm doing okay thanks for asking!

I hope the assessment will bring you some answers 😊 I'm sure if you google there might be some good advice about ADHD and self esteem, perhaps there are some exercises or things you could try out to help you feel a little better about yourself. Sometimes it's just nice to know that other people are have been through the same thing too.

I'm not a big football fan either but the people I live with are into it so I've been watching a few of the games. Not sure I fancy England's chances this year but we shall see! ⚽️

Hope you've got some sunshine where you are!

I'm glad you are ok @Rosie_Scope . Great news. I will have a look to see whether there are any exercises on Google to try out . Thank you for the information. I appreciate it. It is nice to know others have experienced similar situations. I don't want to watch too many football games @@Rosie_Scope because I know I will get bored very quickly lol πŸ˜†. I don't know how far England will get this time . We have times like this where it just all goes wrong. Oh well nevermind. The sun is out but I'm not a person who sits out in the sun really I know it can provide us with Vitamin D but I find uncomfortable after a while and unfortunately I can't sit still for long either. I just get bored very quickly lol πŸ˜†. Hope you have a good rest of your day. Take care πŸ™‚.

@Strawberry1, the football never keeps my attention for long! I don't like sitting out in the sun either, but I appreciate it from inside and it makes the flowers happy 😁 hope you're able to enjoy the rest of your day, take it easy!

Hi @Strawberry1, sorry to hear that you are still finding things hard. Try to relax and do things you enjoy. I hope things get better for you soon. I'm always here for you. πŸ’œ

Hey @Ada, sorry you went through that. Glad to see you are doing better now though. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’— xx

Sometimes I hate myself because I'm conscious of my weight but I also have lymphoedema and being in a wheelchair and not being able to exercise doesn't help me. I also hate my wheelchair and how people see me. But I do like how kind and caring I am and even if nobody is kind to me I just be myself. 😊

Your life story is heartbreaking in one sense @Ada . I myself had a terrible childhood so i can empathise with you on that . I do remember though at school i never really wanted to pay attention i was more interested in what was going on outside than in the classroom. The only time i was interested when I was baking or science that's about it . I've never been able to sit still for long and can get bored very easily. Anyway I will see what the assessment says lol πŸ˜†. You did good managing that job of yours back then . Good for you @Ada , nice one . So sorry to hear of your struggles with your weight but I suppose it makes a lot of sense in regards to your circumstances. Does anyone really know what love really is ? I don't know if I really do . My heart breaks to hear how life threw too many curve balls to you . Life is so unfair to the kindest of people and I'm so sorry these curve balls where horrendous for you I really am . As far as I'm concerned you will have always been a kind hearted person and strong with it too . Sometimes it can be other people who make us dislike ourselves, circumstances and life which is never very good for us . All I know is I do find it difficult to like myself despite what others see . I myself know my faults and the mistakes I've made and despite being told by so many people I should put it behind me I feel I must carry the burden because if not then I'm telling myself I've done ok when I know deep down I haven't. Anyway that's enough of my chatting. Thank you for sharing @Ada and thank you for you time once again. High 5 βœ‹οΈ
