I have a review of my pip over the phone in a couple of weeks they sent me a text and letter !
Can I ask how long after the assessment will I get a decision and is it likely my pip will remain if I haven't changed if anything I am worse. ?I remember my first go at thid on the phone it was horrendous I had to appeal and I won .
I have a carer who will be with me on the day I take it she can be there anf join on the conversation? Because I know I will panic and have a panic attack I did before .
Any advice ? I am worrying myself

Once the assessment report is returned to DWP a decision can take up to about 12 weeks. No one here can tell you whether you'll be successfully awarded again. The outcome could either be that the award stays the same, be increased, decreased and even stopped completely, if not awarded.

Hello @bigpineapples and thanks for reaching out, the wait to hear about PIP can be very stressful, so I can understand why you're feeling worried.
We can't say for certain how likely it will be that your result will remain unchanged, but whatever happens the community will be here to help
How are you finding managing your levels of anxiety at the moment?0 -
Hello 🙂 I don't think she can join the conversation, but she can certainly be with you and support you, calm you down, give you something to drink, help you find the right information in your notes etc.
Please, don't worry. Good that you'll have someone with you. It will surely help you .
I was alone during my assessment, but I had a very understanding assessor.
I wish you the same 🙂0 -
Last time I had to do it alone because my carer was unwell . This time she'll be there and hopefully help me last time I had a full blown panic attack and the call was terminated after 8mins . Another time it went on for over an hour and a half and I felt like I was repeatedly asked the same question over and over felt like they trying to catch me out I have nothing to be catched out about. It is a horrible process0

I agree the assessment is horrible. They aren't trying to catch you out with the questions they ask. They are trying to gather more evidence to support your claim. They will then write the report which is their opnion based on everything you said during the assessment, what you wrote in your form and any extra evidence you sent.
