DWP debt - £67.14

Had a letter a week ago from debt management saying that I owed the above and that it will be collected from my Pension Credit payment at the rate of £22. every 2 weeks with a final deduction of £1.14.
Because of this I did not get my Pension Credit payment last Thursday. Apparently my normal award was only £11 a week.
The next deduction is to be made on 6th April.
So for six weeks I will get no award.
Is this normal what they are doing, taking everything I should be getting and because no payments are being made to me is the award likely to cease with them shutting down my claim? Or should I be shutting down the claim for the next 6 weeks? Is it also likely to have an effect on any future COL payments?

The most they can take is £11.10/week.The first CoL payment will be between 25th April and 17th May. You will be entitled if you received a pension credit payment for any day between 26th Jan and 25th Feb.If you have a nil award of PC because of the overpayment recovery then this may cause issues with any Council tax reduction and/or housing benefit you maybe claiming.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

So they are right in what they are deducting. From what you are saying that for the next 6 weeks we will technically not have a Pension Credit award in payment thus we would need to contact the Council for a CT claim. As we are going to get nothing on what you are saying I might just as well close down the Pension Credit claim and then make a reclaim after the 6 weeks. -
How are you feeling about taking this plan of action at the moment @2oldcodgers? I contacted the council and asked if I could claim CT Support as I was no longer receiving Pension Credit.
They handed me the forms and they now sit on my desk.
I still don't know if I still have a live PC award in place.
