PIP

Hello , Can anyone give me some advice about a pip decision?? I got turned down 3 times and I then went to tribunal and two weeks ago I got a call from PIP and was told that they have decided to award me pip , So I was asked if I will except the rate that she was offering me there and then I would get the credit that she thought I was awarded!! And that they would contact the tribunal to stop my appeal, I felt very flustered on the phone and said ok , that same day I rang back to say I need to talk to my husband about the decision but was told that I would have to start a new claim if I had a new decision because they closed the claim already 🤔 Got a letter the other day and my rate is the standard rate for mobile, Which I think is not enough for my mobility problems,  Need some advice about fighting for the higher rate please .

When you accept an award while waiting for a Tribunal hearing your Tribunal will then lapse. (be cancelled) As your award is now in payment you can request another Tribunal, you don't need to request the MR because you've already done that. The waiting time will start from the beginning again.

That's not correct, you can't start a new claim because you're already claiming PIP. You can report a change of circumstances but i wouldn't advise doing that.

You can tell them if you want to report a change but reporting a change prompts a complete review of all aspects of the whole award and will require a new information form and a new reassessment. There is no point reporting a change unless you have carefully checked whether the change, if accepted, will likely result in a new points and that the resulting changes are hopefully sufficient to determine in an increased award.
