Hi, thanks to all you who has been helping me in my process, I have been reading you every day since I star my PIP journey. You had been very helpful, thanks!

I have one question, I have been awarded standard rate in both section and I phoned them for a MR, I called PIP line today and I found out my next payment will be £647. What does that mean? I have been awarded the high rate? I tried to speak with a human but it was impossible and my anxiety levels make me stop trying…

thanks in advance for your help and support ❤️

    Hi GabyPS

    Welcome to Scope online,

Lots of info and nice people on site.

Could it be a back payment, from the date of claim?

    Hi, thanks 😊

i don’t think so, I had my back payment one month ago and it was £1500 more or less. My first payment in March was £345 and now it says will be basically double amount for April…

It could be several reason i.e. they made a mistake.

Maybe @poppy123456 can shed some light on it, failing that you might have to ask the DWP.

Please try not to tag poppy - she will reply where possible. As she has notifications turned off she doesn't want anyone thinking she's ignoring them.

As advised on your other thread here. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/94815/p-i-p-review-claim/p3 you should put the request in writing.

The issue with ringing to request it and then sending in extra evidence is they do not have to wait for that evidence. A decision can be made at anytime. It’s always better to put the request on writing.

Great. Thanks that is what I needed to know. Basically it's because the only thing I am asking for on this MR is 1 thing.. the plan and following a journey. That's the only thing I want another decision on. But I am useless at writing letters. I my case and condition but it's putting it in writing x

Thank you. They made a decision the 24th of march and today is the 5th of April! I still haven't received my decision letter but I know I'm requesting an MR on 1 of the questions. Plan a route. Anyway u only get 4 weeks, and I've already missed 2 weeks and I don't know how many more days I have to wait. Surely this isn't enuf time to get last evidence from health profeshional, I'm going to cutting it short with the time I have

You actually have 13 months to request the MR. If you're outside of the first month then you'll need to give a reason why you didn't request it within that time. If they refuse then you just continue to Tribunal.

You actually have 1 month from the date on your decision letter to put in for a MR, or the 13 months that poppy mentions with good reason. So, you haven't already missed 2 weeks, as you haven't even received your decision letter yet.

That's great thank you. I sent my MR letters off today 1st class so should kand on their desk tomorrow. Is the MR time scale 2-12 weeks like a normal decision?

They will not land on their desk tomorrow. Letters going to DWP have to go through a Mail sorting process first, the same as mail coming from DWP.
It’s not classed as arriving until it’s been added to the computer which can take up to a couple of weeks.
Timescales are up to 12 weeks.
