Hi I'm new here , I had the message saying I was awarded pip and to wait 2 weeks to revive the letter I had a phone call from them and they said to me they wanted my bank details as they couldn't get hold of me for couple of weeks but I gave them my details now I applied back in October 2022 I got the message on 1st April 2023 I was wondering because no one had told me would I definitely get a back pay ?

Assuming this is a first time claim and you weren’t transferring from DLA then your award will start from the date you rang to start your claim, so you will be owed money from that date. Providing you had the conditions for at least 3 months when you first applied.
