Hi, my name is catmac! Looking on advice for home adaptations

Im looking for some help, guidance,pointers as at the minute I have no idea what to do next or where to start getting things in place.
I live with my husband who has Multiple Sclerosis and recently a brain tumour. At this time he is still in hospital but lots of changes will be needed before he comes home.
He has had a bad episode and has lost the use of his right side ,is only able to move with 2 person support.
No doubt the house will need lots of adaptations or even an extension but I have no idea where or how to get help ,info ,support to get anything underway.
Im hoping some of you will have ideas ,pointers ,experience of similar and will kind help me as I try to work out who to talk to ,what Ill need to do etc etc
Even if its just to point me in the direction of other places to seek advice , myself and my husband will be so grateful for any advice if you can help us .

You should speak to the hospital because they should put something in place for when he does return home. You can then refer him for a needs assessment from your local Authority. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/help-from-social-services-and-charities/getting-a-needs-assessment/

Welcome to the community! Just to let you know, I popped your post over to our Aids, Adaptations and Equipment section of the forum, to see if anyone else has any other advice.
I echo Poppy's advice to refer your husband for a needs assessment, you said that he's only able to move with a 2 person support system, do you have someone who can help with that? The NHS have a webpage on short term care that could help in the meantime.0
