No you're not alone. I had my ESA come in to my bank account last night and instead of the 10% increase I was anticipating, DWP underpaid me so instead of £209 I got £201! My mum's ESA was unaffected. I tried calling them on 2 occasions, holding the line for an hour each both times, before hanging up.

The increase starts from 10th April but ESA is paid 2 weeks in arrears so you won't see the full increase until your next payment. The same applies to everyone. For those claiming PIP/DLA they won't see the full increase until May payment.

I'm guessing they are more busy than usual today with people ringing to ask why they didn't receive the increase, which is probably why you can't get through.

I would expect you to at least have a small increase for this payment. Are you 100% sure the payment is the same as always? Are there any deductions for anything? If you're unsure then you'll need to ring ESA.

Your payment on 14th April would have been for the previous 2 weeks, ESA is paid 2 weeks in arrears. No one will be any worse off than anyone else because everyone will receive the same amount of payments for the new rates. Some on UC won't see any increase until June but will still receive the same amount of payments (12)

Then you will need to ring them, as we advised.
