Hi all. Am pleased to join you. Am a retired mediator, trainer, consultant and full time power-chair user with very rare neuromuscular disability (Kennedys syndrome) but am very lucky since it does not affect the brain nor life expectancy. Will list my latest book elsewhere on the site but meantime my next has a draft working title of "How to mane your disability so as to reduce the extent that it may manage you". Will probably be looking for help from members with that in due course. Best to all. Tiny

Hi @Tony_Whatling5i8 welcome to the forum.
Wow I wish you luck in writing your book. Have you a publisher in mind? I am writing a fiction novel, but i find getting motivation difficult, do you have that issue too. -
Am finding my way around this site and I gather this might be a good place to refer to my latest book that might be found useful to some members - see attachments. My first two books - on amazon under name <moderator removed personal information>- were for trained mediators but this one is for all people - who I have called 'Lay mediators' involved in family, neighbour or workplace disputes including schools, NHS staff, managers and union members and who knows maybe even one day MP.s who thus far are too busy fighting each other to respond to my circulation of it!! My sub-title for it could be "Power to the People". Would welcome comments and ideas of where and when they could see its value in the SCOPE members lived experience. Cheers. T

Hello @Tony_Whatling5i8 and a warm welcome to our online community, how are you today?
It's great to have you here, a published author nonethelessAnd, your books up to press look really insightful, with mediation an area that some of our members could benefit with more information and understanding around.
Unfortunately, as per our house rules - advertising and the sharing of full names isn't permitted on the community therefore I've removed your name and book forward as an attachment from your previous comment. I'm sure we'd certainly be able to help in terms of helping you gather experiences and opinions though.
I'll be emailing you shortly, so please do keep an eye out for that and again, welcome
