Question about the 'the cost of living payment '

I have just been awarded PIP , my husband gets WTC , we got the last 'cost of living payment ' .
I feel such a rat asking this because it sounds like I am money mad, but I don't want to receive something that I am not entitled to and then have to pay it back.
I cannot find any information about this , there doesn't seem to be any information on who can receive it while claiming wtc and pip together .
I would be most grateful if anyone knows please ?

You will still be entitled to the CoL payment of £301 due between 2nd and 9th May for Tax credits because you're claiming WTC.PIP has nothing to do with that. As you're now claiming PIP you will also be entitled to the £150 disability CoL payment due to be paid sometime this summer. No dates have been announced yet.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

What do you mean by "some people have asked me why"? do you mean some people have asked you why you've been awarded until 2026?

Good Afternoon Poppy, yeah a few of my friends claim pip and they only got the award for 2 years and mine is for 3. I don't know why .

PIP award lengths can be anything from 1 to 10 years. The award length will vary depending on how your health conditions affect you. They will contact you (usaully) about 6 months before the award is due to end by sending you review forms.

@stay_positive So pleased you got your award. It’s a very daunting procedure but if you’re ill, then you have to keep going. Well done, it’s a great feeling.
