Hi everyone, I'm Eden, a 67 Yr old guy in Walthamstow though I'm originally from Australia, been in London 30 yrs now and still love it so much.
I'm a brand new wheelchair user slowly adapting to the changes in my life due to the loss of most of the mobility in my legs. I can walk with a frame but tire quickly.
I'm into abstract art and used to paint a lot myself but am unable to do so at present as my spare room/studio is now a bedroom for my career, who is my ex. We split up some yrs ago. He's doing an amazing job looking after me, couldn't cope without his help.
I've already posted in the public transport section of the forum as I have questions about using London buses.
Anyway, that's me for now. Hope everyone is safe, well, warm and dry!
Cheers, Wayne

Hello @Eden23
Welcome to the communityI hope you are keeping well?
We have a fantastic thread called KaleidoScope: Our own gallery for members' art work, crafts and photographs. If you have any paintings from before you converted the studio, we'd love to see them
I keep saying, I need to get down to London more. I'm waiting for the National Portrait Gallery to reopen so I can do a few days of museums and gallery's. Are there any that you would recommend?0 -
Hi Hannah - it depends what sort of exhibitions you like. I'm really into abstract so before becoming wheelchair bound I used to visit many private galleries in Mayfair. They are all open to the public, but access can be hit or miss. Many of these also have figurative and representational art so check out their websites to see what's on. Plus they are free. Some of these are Hauser and Worth, Flowers, Frieze, Gagosian, White Cube, Gallerie Max Hetzler, Thaddeus Ropac, JD Malat, then there's the Royal Academy. the Wallace Collection. I go on their mailing lists so am notified of what's on. There are so many so just google London galleries. Hope you find some you like. Cheers, W.0

I'm pretty much up for anything, I love to learn new things. I'm definitely adding your suggestions to my list, had a quick google and The Wallace Collection in particular caught my eye1
