Dwp statement of reason

I have won my tribunal a few weeks ago today received letter saying dwp have asked judge for a statement of reason is this normal

It's rare for them to do request this but it can and does happen. It doesn't mean they are appealing the decision though. Once they receive the SOR they will need to find the error in law before they can appeal it. They very rarely appeal it.The only issue is that this will delay then paying any money they owe because it won't be paid whilst waiting for the SOR.1
