Hi I've just been placed in Lcwra. I got my letter on the 13th of march. My first fit note was put in on the 21st of July I know the 1st 3 months don't count but I know I am due some backdating. My quest doesn't relate to that. I just want to know what the time frame is on the back dated payment. It's been near enough 5 weeks since the decision letter. I have left a few messages on journal that have not been answered so don't know where else to ask. Does anyone know a room time line on this.

The waiting period is 3 full assessment periods and it's then paid from the 4th month of your claim, starting from when you first reported your health condition/sent your first fit note. If you reported it during the middle of an assessment period, this month doesn't count. Your first payment will be either Nov or Dec 2022. I know this wasn't your question, i just wanted to make sure you're aware of this.It often takes quite a few weeks to pay what is owed. First they have to recalculate your past statements to work out exactly what you have been paid against what you should have been paid. You'll then receive the difference between the 2. Once this is done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe. It will then be paid into your bank. It will be paid separately to your usual monthly money. If the decision was made quite close to the end of your assessment period then it maybe too late to include the LCWRA this month.0
