I have recently been diagnosed with chronic pain following an injury and operation 7 months ago. I have disclosed my disability to my employers and provided a fit note from my GP explaining the reasonable adjustments he suggests. I have met with my employer and been given reasonable adjustments. However these are the reasonable adjustments they have come up with rather than the ones I have asked for. I wasn’t allowed to have anyone in the meeting with me. Im okay with the adjustments for now but I don’t want to sign to say we have agreed/negotiated these as that is not the case. Would appreciate your thoughts xx

Hi @TracyAP welcome to the forum. Do you have regular wellbeing meetings at work? Which you  can say how you are feeling.
Have you access to the companies policy procedures to see if you can be referred to  occupational health?
Usually most companies allow someone to go into the meetings like a friend or a union rep.

Hello @TracyAP and a warm welcome to our online community, how are you keeping?

Please don't feel obligated to sign any paperwork that isn't an accurate reflection of what was agreed or discussed during your meeting. You are within your rights to ask for amendments that capture accurately what was said verbatim and I'd hope your employer wouldn't expect otherwise!

Did they happen to give any reason why you couldn't be accompanied during the meeting?

Just to let you know, I've amended the title of your thread and moved it to our Work and employment category to help others see it more easily and reply.

    Take care and
