Hi everyone
i currently receive PIP with an end date it November 2024. I’ve read online that they might start to review my claim up to a year before end date.
i currently receive PIP with an end date it November 2024. I’ve read online that they might start to review my claim up to a year before end date.
What happens if they reviewed it in, let’s say March 2024, and decided I was no longer eligible. Would it stop immediately, or would I still get PIP until the end date of Nov 2024?

Any new decision made will overrule your current award. Therefore if refused your award will end. There's also very long delays with reviews so even if they do send you the forms a year before this doesn't mean a decision will be made shortly after they receive the form back.

When should I receive the review form? Is it always a year before?0

Anytime from about a year before.

A review usually starts 6 months before your award is due to end although as advised above it can be a year (they’re struggling with huge backlogs at the moment). The current wait time can be onwards of up to a year, payments continue during this time provided you have completed everything they have asked you.0

It would be impossible for anyone to answer that question.

Hello Bobroy81I would just like to add to the advice given that if you were awarded PIP by tribunal then you would need to start a new claim because they do not do reviews for awards made by tribunal. You should get a letter to inform you to do this but it is good to know in advance incase they do not inform you. This is only for a tribunal made award if you had an award made by the DWP then it will be a standard review. When you do the review you must treat the review like you are filling in a new claim and be detailed about your condition and the problems you have and the help you need.Nasturtium1
