Pip assessment face to face

I have applied for pip and need to go an assessment for sciatica.Can I refuse to do the exercise concerning my leg as I've done this before in hospital environment and it triggered a 24hr pain for over a week .I don't want to self inflict pain like that again just to prove I cannot do what they ask.Will my refusal impact on the decision.
