Hi,
I am currently in of PIP. My review is October 2024. Over the last month I have noticed some improvement in one of my symptoms. I know that we are supposed to tell DWP immediately if things improve. My worry is that any improvement could be a temporary thing. I want to be honest, but I also don't want to disadvantaged myself, only to find that I am struggling again. What should I do?

Hi @JonnyGZB - & welcome to the community. I believe that just having an improvement in one of your symptoms for a month is not a reason to be letting the DWP now as yet. This would be viewed as a Change of circumstances; & you'd get another PIP claim form to complete, go through another assessment, etc. With PIP, as you may know, it's how you are looking at the past 3 months, & how you expect this to continue over the next 9 months. So, for now, I'd wait longer to see how you get on; you really don't have to let the DWP know immediately. Whilst I hope your improvement continues, you also need to consider whether this might actually change the level of your award looking at the activities/descriptors that are relevant to PIP.2
