Hello @sofia111 and a warm welcome to the community.
It sounds as though you may have had a paper-based assessment. Once a decision has been made (this can take 12-16 weeks), they'll write to you with the outcome of your claim. If they decide you're entitled to PIP you may receive back payment into your bank account before you receive your award letter.

The assessor doesn’t make the decision. They write the assessment report with a recommendation. This is then returned to DWP and a decision maker will then look at that as well as any other evidence you sent and then make a decision.

Once the report is returned to DWP a decision can take anything up to 12 weeks.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
