Hi,
I currently have an award until February 2024. I received the review forms this week. How long should I expect to wait before I get a decision? I get very anxious over all of this stuff. I have two worries
1 - I am going to be waiting for ages
2 - the could process the review quickly and end my award before Feb 2024
Am I overthinking?

There's long delays with review decisions so you could be waiting as long as a year, possibly longer. We have members here that are still waiting more than a year after returning their forms.Sometimes members do have decisions quite quickly, if it's a paper based decision but these are rare. You should expect another assessment because most have them.If on the rare occasion the decision is made before Feb 2024 and it doesn't go in your favour then your award will end. When you fill out the form you should treat it as a new claim, even if there's been no changes. Include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each descriptor that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.Use extra sheets of paper because i always find there's never enough of room on the forms. Make sure you add your name and NI number to everything you send. You can also ring PIP to ask for extra time to return your forms.0
