I placed a bid on property now it's revoked from me

Good morning.
The news is still sinking in and feeling numb still. I try to keep as short as possible.
I placed a bid on a one bed bungalow with wet room, on social housing, with Medical needs priority, with a small garden. My current living situ is a one bed flat with no adaptions and am struggling.
Last Friday I received the call that I won a bid. The OT phone with good news, with view to make another apt/call next week. Regarding adaptions.
I cried with happiness the feelings I received I can't describe. Plus it was a Bank Holiday weekend and also my birthday (on Bank Holiday Monday).
I received a phone call yesterday from Housing to say that I'm not now allowed the property due to the advert was missing important information, which was the age restriction. It was the council rules. I'm in my last year of 40s. And not easy living in accommodation at moment.
Could anyone advise where to go from here.

@Purrrrrrr thx you. It broke my heart. But don't want anyone to go through what I did. There is a age restriction. They forgot to include0

What's the age restriction? In my area bungalows have an age restriction of 55, regardless of a disability.

It seems to vary from council to council, I recently got moved to a 2 bedroom bungalow even though I’m only 35, the council do have a strict 55+ Age restriction but under very limited circumstances the health assessor can over rule this which is what happened for me.

@poppy123456 Hello, after pushing further I found out it was 55+ preferred0

@Luchia am really pleased it got overturned for you. Sadly the Housing wouldn't back down. Despite the fact it was the error of the Bungalow Advert and also telling me I initially the property would be mine, until I viewed property etc then and only then if I chose not to. It was cruel yesterday to revoke their decision. The only thing I was glad that they didn't phone me on the Bank Holiday as was my birthday.0

That's a real shame, I'd be gutted as well!
There's no help or discretion given by my local housing service. I've been looking for over a year and haven't found anything suitable that I'm allowed to bid on. Politely asked if they could make 'manual' bids due to unusual circumstances but was just told that they can't and the only option I have is to keep looking at the website. Realistically I know there's virtually no chance of getting what I need through housing now. And no chance of a private landlord accepting me now that I'm on benefits. Just feel like I'm completely and permanently trapped in unsuitable accommodation now.2 -
@OverlyAnxious Sends hugs. I can understand how you feel. It certainly not easy. Private landlords are very risky for people like us/our situation. Am reluctant to go down that road of rental. Hopefully things will change for us. I've spoken to my local councilers they tried everything for me. And they not going to let this situation what happened to me go. It might worth speaking to your local counciler about your situation.1

It might work differently where you are but my local council they are they only ones who can void the age restriction on your account, the lady who came out to see me was absolutely wonderful, she asked what kind of property I would consider moving to(I was in a flat but it had stairs which were unsafe), I told her I wouldn’t be able to live somewhere with a communal entrance and she said she would void the age restriction so we could bid on Bungalows.
I think it depends on your banding too, I was given Band B Medical Advanced which she said less than a handful of people currently had so bidding very quickly lead to an offer1 -
How frustrating @Sheree_8
