Hi, my name is BoredBoredBored!

Found the forum after looking for PIP information and found some useful information, hoping the coffee lounge works.
Just had my PIP increased from Standard Daily Living to Standard Daily Living + Standard Mobility.
9 points on the Living and 10 points on the Mobility. Backdated to this time last year so a nice bonus.
I felt like this is something you need to beg for rather than a proper assessment of my real needs and awarded as appropriate. Seen comments on that you have to make it like your worst day ever and then the forms tell you otherwise.
I am not going to beg for something I maybe entitled to.
My PIP should have ended in 2021 (5 year review) but it was extended, early 2022 I got another letter stating my PIP would not be reviewed until 2024 or 25? and 3 days later the PIP review forms dropped through the letterbox.
Thought oh well get it done. This was late April, heard nothing until September then a text stating we still have your forms, same for October and then nothing again until late Jan/early Feb. Video assessment, I felt like they acted nice but you never know if it is just that an act.
I had a bad experience with a healthcare NON professional who lied on almost every question. I think it was for ESA? I had just been awarded standard rate Daily Living and 4 points on Mobility then the ESA assessment failed me completely.
Sorry I think that's my life story.
Hope to chat, I think I spotted a coffee room? Is that in use and is there a tea and biscuit room also?

PIP is about how your are on the majority of the days and you should never fill out any form based on your worst days. There's lots of discussions in the virtual coffee lounge and you can also join in with the games. No tea and biscuit room though lol.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Probably outdated comments from many years ago or Chinese whispers from friends of friends who overheard something another friend said.No Tea? What is the world coming to? Images of the Walking Dead fill my mind (it doesn't take much to fill)For some reason I had the thought that the Coffee Lounge was an actual live chat room. Explains why I could not find it.Applied for a Blue Badge on Wednesday afternoon and received a notification today (Friday) that I qualify and just waiting for it to be printed, conflicting timeframes from 10 to 14 days to many weeks.Even my PIP award had the wrong figures on it. £60 and £19 not the current value or even last years value.I have a lot of questions regarding the badge though, I will create a post after having a search.Thanks.

I am old and must confess to being an AOL user in the past which I rather enjoyed. Real live chat rooms (text based) with people from all over, in my mind I read the Coffee Room as being a live chat room. Can we have one please? Even if its just text based on Discord or something with the voice chat being disabled.Thanks.

That's an interesting idea @BoredBoredBored and something that's been discussed in the past, but we've no plans for one at the moment.
