Feet injuries over 20 years ago causing big problems now!

Someone parked on both of my feet 22 years ago by accident.. I didn't get them treated at the time as I knew the feet had hundreds of little bones in them and thought what could be done.. and anyway.. I was a single parent of a brand new baby, completely on my own so couldn't go to hospital... now though my feet cause big problems.. I can't do things I used to love doing like camping and going for big walks, despite having insoles from podiatrist.. the thing I find most frustrating though is people not understanding how bad it can be.. and not being taken seriously by health 'professionals' ie doctors.. having an invisible disability really sucks.. and having to micro manage everything I do too.. just wanted to say that..

Hello @ArtieMiss
I'm so sorry that your injury is causing you issues 22 years later. There are many on here who also feel the same as you, like they are, at times, not taken seriously by their medical professional.
I would encourage you to try again, maybe ask a friend or family member to come along to the appointment for that moral support? You could also request a second opinion, something I have done before if you feel it is needed.
I hope you are able to find more answers and find something that helps a lot better for youHannah - She / Her

Thank you for your suggestions.. I'll definately take them on board! Especially taking someone with me.. Perhaps they can 'see' things clearer at the time than I can.. Being in so much pain and having had very bad experiences in the past with doctors I actually pre-empt them being useless..

@ArtieMiss I took my mum to an appointment and like you said, I was in so much pain, I felt able to communicate better having her support. And swapping to another Doctor helped too.Hannah - She / Her
