Hello, I was awarded LCWRA almost 12 months ago and have been told I'm due for reassessment. I've read many comments here saying the reassessments are currently suspended?

Who said you have to be reassessed?

LCWRA is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. As you've read on many other threads, as far as i'm aware they are still suspended. The timescales they give are nothing more than a guide. When it's time for your review you'll receive a letter on your journal (if you have access to one) telling you they are referring you. You will then receive the form in the post shortly after that.1

It's not awarded for 14 months though because it's an ongoing award. It has no end date.

They don't usually contact anyone in this way before a referral is made. When it's time for your review they will need to refer you for another work capability assessment. Once they do this you will recieve a letter on your journal to tell you and you'll then receive the forms in the post shortly after that.

You will then receive the form in the post shortly after that.I’m always looking at the worst case scenario so in my mind I’ll be receiving the form in the next few weeks , I hope not and I hope to be left alone until sand if year early next year .Also I checked my UC payments and I’ve got the increase with my payment this week , an extra £69
I agree it is quite stressful at the thought of more reviews. I try my hardest not to think about them. Glad you have the extra in your payment this week too. My daughter will also see her extra amount this month.

I've also had had this message today on my journal, about contacting my GP- they didn't try to call as they've stated.
My last WCA was October 2018 with a review date of October 2020, I know for sure that was deferred to October 2022, after that I didn't bother contacting them for the date on the system (and yes I know it's only ever a guide).
I also get NS ESA and I can't recall if UC asked for my GP information when I applied.
I will phone them tomorrow with the information requested.
But I'm generally assuming this a pre cursor to the formal reassessment process starting.0 -
How do you find review date? My pdf lcwra letter had no start end date just says you are awarded ?0

Parties did you get an estimate date when will be reviewed the last time you got awarded lcwra?0

WCA decision letters do not have end dates because it's an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. You can ask what your expected review date it but it's just a guide and nothing more.

Usually for a review they will need to refer you first and when they do this they should put a letter on your journal telling you that you're being referred. You will then receive the WCA form in the post shortly after that.As you're claiming NsESA as well then your review will be done through UC and not ESA.They very rarely contact a GP for anything. I'm wondering if it's another one of those "rules" they seem to have made up themselves.0 -
Well whatever is going on, I will keep updating with any new developments.
