Lcrwa

I was awarded lcrwa on the 27th of April and I had my first payment in may. I thought the assessment period was 91 days so I left a note on my journal. I had a reply saying that I was not entitled to back pay because i was awarded my payment from the 23rd of march, I'm confused and I don't seem to be getting anywhere when querying it on my journal. I've been told it will be send of for a mandatory reconsideration if I explain why I think this is wrong

The payment starts from the UC month that starts after the three waiting month period. If you reported your health condition part way through a UC month your wait will be longer than three months. Because UC is paid in arrears the actual wait will varies between four or five months.
When did you report your health condition and what is your UC payment date?
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK. -
I started getting fit notes in April 2022. I went for a previous work assessment prior to that about 5 years ago and was awarded lcw. I did a months trial in a job but that ended in Nov 2021 and I started giving fit notes again in April last year.

I gave advice to you on your other thread here https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/105617/lcrwa#latest but you didn't mention having been previously found to have LCW.If you reported changes to your health condition in April 2022 then the extra money should be paid from the assessment period in which you reported the changes. There will be no waiting period. I would have advised you this on your other thread if you had given all the information. If it was a review started by DWP then the extra money is paid from the assessment period in which the decision was made.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
My work coach requested a new assessment form to be sent last year. I sent this back In December last year and i hadn't heard back so my work coach asked me to call and they told me they had received my form back and my telephone assessment took place in march and I had my decision back in April. It's very confusing so forgive me if I ask questions because I struggle understanding

Yes things got really bad so I told my work coach this and she said she would request a work assesment form

Then the extra money should start from the assessment period in which the changes were reported. You can check on your journal what date exactly you reported this. There will be no waiting period.

I told my work coach at my appointment at job centre and she submitted a request for a form to be sent on the 24th if november 2022. Will this be the change date?
-
You said you were sending fit notes since April 2022, so that must have been when you reported the changes.

Yes that's what I've been trying to say on my journal but they keep saying that I was awarded lcrwa on the 23rd of march 2023 but I said that can't be right because I had my letter on the 27th of April saying I was awarded lcrwa and they say I can send in a mandatory reconsideration

Yes you can request the MR in the decision not to award it from the assessment period in which the changes were reported.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please.
