Can u please tell me about the lcwra payments that you get after reporting change of circumstances until the new decision on lcwra ? Will these consider overpayment and u have to give it back ???

In this case you will need to go through another WCA if you reclaim UC in the future. You may also need to go through the Habitual Residence Test when you return also. See link.

If you don't report a health condition then no you won't need to go through another WCA. You will be treated as a job seeker.

Can you close your claim while on lcwra before going abroad so you don't get panic while abroad ??

You can close your claim at anytime. Just log into your journal and report a change, then scroll to the bottom of the list and click "request to close your claim."

Are you asking this question for yourself or someone else?

If they are claiming UC help with the rent will be paid as part of that known as housing element, unless they are either living in supported or temporary housing and then it will be housing benefit.

Yes, they can continue with their UC claim. However, if there's a maintenance loan available to them then It will affect their UC even if they decide not to take that loan.

There may also be issues if they have work commitments and are being treated as a job seeker.

Can u please tell me how to report UC that now your health is better and you don't want lcwra money anymore ??? And will they stop it immediately after reporting??because I ask for an appointment to tell them about my health but they didn't give me any response yet and I am not sure how to do it ??I am also worried about any delay and overpaid money

    Thanks

The LCWRA element will not just stop, you will need a review before that happens. You can report a change of circumstances and tell them that your health conditions have improved.

Are you also aware that you do not need to be affected all of the time. What counts is the majority of the time.

If the LCWRA element does stop in the future and you're found fit for work then you will be treated as a job seeker and will need to look for work.

So how they consider the lcwra payment until they reasses as overpayment or your entitlement?

I am so much worried about it because I am planning to go abroad for some time so will I have to wait for my reassessment?

If you're going abroad for longer than 1 month then as I advised your whole UC will end, which will include the LCWRA element because it's part of UC.

Thanks for your time and advice .So when I plan to go is it better to give them a call on helpline number and ask them to close my claim until I come back UK because I don't know how to report them my absence while abroad

Request them to close my claim is straightforward process for lcwra holders or there's some requirements to complete first ?

    No problem.

I already advised you on this. You don't need to ring the helpline if you have access to a journal. Log into that and report a change of circumstances. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click "request to close your claim" then your claim will be closed. You can do this where ever you are.

When I come back so I have to make a new claim ? As my previous claim is closed or that previous claim open again ?
