Pip has knocked me back twice I have loads of evidence from doctors and surgeons about osteoarthritis stage 4 in my knee and my mental health so I have gone to tribunal, just wanting to know the likelihood of it going in my favour

Okay, thanks for explaining. I'm sorry to hear your PIP claim has been difficult. It's hard for us to say the likelihood without knowing a bit more @kay14 do you have a date for the tribunal yet?

That's frustrating to hear @kay14, I know you're certainly not alone here on the community. There are plenty of members who have had similar experiences and have also requested Tribunals.

It can be a long wait, but if you'd like support with anything in particular please let us know, and we'll do what we can :)

UC has replaced all other benefits so other than council tax reduction there’s no other benefits possible to claim.

Does your health condition limit your capability to work? If so have you reported a change of circumstances and reported the health condition? You will need to provide fit notes also.

To see if they have received all evidence and the status of the matter x

They will already have the evidence you've sent. If you've sent more to HMCTS then they would have been sent a copy of that too. When DWP eventually respond they will send everything you've already sent to HMCTS, you will then receive everything in the "bundle" you will need to make sure you check through this to see if everything is there.

There's nothing you can do until they respond. Before they do this they will review all the evidence you sent, sometimes they may make an offer of an award at this stage but it's rare so please don't expect this.

Please also be aware that they don't always respond by the deadline they are given. If they don't then it will be extended. They will eventually respond.

I have got back all the evidence bundles so they will have it I just wish they would hurry up I know it can take months but because of this my mental health is getting worse I don’t even leave the house only for doctors appointments the system is ridiculous especially for the reasons it’s for 😩 x

Are you planning on either appearing in person or have a telephone/video hearing? Either of those will give you the best chance of a decision in your favour.

Do be aware though, they will not take into consideration any worsening of condition.

I have said I don’t want to go as I can barely walk bacause of my condition, which is all in the evidence I have sent , nothing is new a condition just making the depression worse while waiting x

You can ask for a telephone/video hearing. You do not have to appear in person. There’s about a 70% success rate.

I wouldn’t advise you to request a paper based hearing because these have an extremely low success rate at between 5-8%.

    Hello @kay14

I'm so sorry you have been having such a rough time with your mental health. Can I ask, are you getting support for it? You can always refer yourself through to NHS talking therapies if you feel they would help :)
