Hi just wondering if anyone has any tips for putting up bus seats. I use the bus regularly but nearly always the seat is down in the space reserved for wheelchair users. Some of them are very heavy but all awkward to reach and push up especially as there’s usually a bar between me and the seat. Seems like something would be a good tool to lift them but I can’t think what (& bearing in mind there is literally nowhere to attach a tool on my chair so it needs to be small and light)
thanks 😊
thanks 😊

Hello @dooki and welcome
As a wheelchair user myself I have also encountered this problem, and have asked the driver to lend a hand, or else when I have someone with me, they help. But I agree they are quite heavy and in an awkward spot to push up from a sitting position!0 -
thanks both 🙂 Some drivers and some ppl are lovely and will help, other days seems like I’m the on board entertainment 🥴 not sure if the bus company would cope if I raised the seat issue with them, they already struggle with their policy. But I will try asking the driver - I haven’t done that before. If I can think of a tool I’ll post on here0
