I have been finding it hard to find work, ever since moving with my parents/carers. I been able to do my part time as and when, job.

But it takes five hours there and back and is odd houses. As the event's first aider for Wembley Stadium.

I have been trying to get a job as a bartender as I did some one-day-a-week job at my sister's pub that had to close.

I tried a few places and have done a few interviews yet have heard nothing back from employers with feedback. I have to email them asking for it. It starting to get on my self-esteem and making me question if I'm able to find a job.

Hi @SAStrooper welcome to the forum.
5 hours travel is too much for anyone.
Sounds daunting to keep trying and getting no where. There is probably 100 people applying for the same job. Don't give up, something may come your way soon

@Sandy_123 I know, I do it as it the only thing keeping me going that make feel I can. I keep at it I'm just annoyed that I try and hear nothing from employers.

Thanks for the confidence, maybe your right.

Its not just you, lots of people are getting the same when applying. So it's not a reflection on yourself. So dust yourself down and get replying

Unfortunately not getting any feedback after applying is really common, it's actually unusual to hear anything at all if you aren't successful.

ghosting is part of the process for employers.

self-employment might be better for you, maybe?

    Hello @SAStrooper

I'm so sorry you are not getting any feedback from applications. Like other members have said, it is unfortunately, quite common. Have you thought about reaching out to Scope's Employment Services? Also as an event first aider, have you thought about reaching out to any venues or events happening close to you? With summer coming, I can imagine they may need more first aiders with kids on holidays...etc.
