June is Pride Month, where across the world, we platform LGBTQIA+ communities. It celebrates, educates and raises awareness to ongoing issues for sexual and gender diversity.
We have had discussions in the online community about the LGBTQIA+ community. Particularly surrounding the history of the movement.
But we want to hear from you...
What does Pride Month mean to you?

I think Pride Month should be celebrated. I like the fact that people celebrate it . People whatever gender they are , whatever they choose to be should not be something they should have too keep hidden . Good for them who celebrate.3

To me, Pride Month is a time for people to celebrate. People of the LGBTQ+ have had millennia of being told they should be ashamed of who they are and that they should hide it. Pride is a time when they can gather and be proud of who they are. I hope over time the societal discrimination that still lingers in areas will eventually be washed away. While there is still backlash against the event there is still a reason to hold it.2

That's lovely @Strawberry1 and I agree, Pride Month should be celebrated Are there any pride events where you are?0

@rustledjimm I love seeing the Pride events in my city centre. Watching people be proud of who they are0

To me, it's an opportunity to reflect on how much happier I've been since being more authentically myself
But it's also a time to remember that many queer people, both close to home and across the globe, still face danger and injustice every day. And that it's important we continue to fight for our rights.1 -
Love hearing that @Tori_Scope
It has been amazing to learn about how many organisations there are around the world to help people in the LGBTQIA+ community, but also sad that they are needed.1 -
