I am 31 years old and from midlands UK. I have autism, anxiety, learning difficulties and various other issues besides I suppose but those are the main ones.
I have a zero social network and no friends so I am not socially sophisticated to be honest. I am not in a great place in particular right now. My most immediate concern is winning a tribunal for my PIP application of which I'm not entirely confident I'll succeed if Im very honest, and have no idea what will happen on the day, but I do know I'm getting increasingly uneasy and nervous about it and not sure I'll be at all prepared. I'll be going on my own so that adds to the problem. Will they think because I can get to the place on my own that that's it, I can't be any bad.
I may well be seeking advice in the above area for the time being if I'm around.
Thanks for reading.

Hi @DataMat and a big warm welcome to our online community, thanks for introducing yourself. It's great you found us. How's your day going?
It sounds like we could be a massive help in terms of the PIP tribunal. If you have any questions playing on your mind that you'd like to ask? Maybe consider starting a thread in our PIP, DLA and AA category to get our members expertise. Whilst, that you can get to the tribunal on yourself shouldn't in itself be a problem if you think about any struggles you've had getting there i.e. around anxiety, travel arrangements, do let them know.
Also, you could get the support of a local welfare representative for free if that is something you'd be happy to explore? Just visit Advice Local, select welfare benefits and enter your postcode, and a list of organisations will appear at the bottom of the next screen.
It would be great to hear from you again, so please do get involved wherever you like. Take care.0 -
Welcome Mat nice to meet you, I like how you describe yourself as "socially unsophisticated" I am going to use that phrase for myself now.
I believe for PIP you need to be able to do things "repeatedly and reliably" to qualify for 0 points. So if you can get to the tribunal on your own but 364 days of the year you are not able to go out, you should get points.0
