Anxiety about travel since covid lockdowns

When comes to traveling or going away some where I can't bring myself to go after bad anxitey panic attack and know not only am missing out on trips is also costing me money for northing. Over think before imagine worse case scenario over and over I allways end up with sick feeling and overwhelmeing anxitey. I used travel all time years ago. Since covid lockdowns it's had big effect.

@Mysteriousmat Hi there, I'm so sorry to hear your mental health isn't great in relation to going away.
Have you spoken with your GP about it, or explored the idea of talking therapy to get coping strategies? And, do you have any friends or family to speak about your worries with?
MIND have a great online resource around Anxiety and panic attacks to read when you have time. And please take (some) comfort in knowing, so many of us have been there too. Anxiety is an awful feeling, but it is a feeling that will peak and then diminish. You will get through this, and you will travel again. Someone once told me that fear is 'overestimating the risk, and underestimating our ability to cope', you can cope and you are. You are doing brilliantly, I promise.
