Hi all
I know there is a waiting time after a tribunal but even though I won my tribunal I’m still very anxious and worried 😟 waiting to hear from DWP .

A long year waiting to get to my tribunal then waiting for the outcome and then further waiting after !!
I fully understand that’s the procedure but I just can’t stop worrying 🫤

Hi @mistakes65 and thanks for reaching out. I know waiting makes me feel very anxious too, in some ways it's worse than the assessment. Well done on winning your tribunal, that's great news after such a long time
Will you be able to spend some time with others today? Sometimes having company we enjoy can help with any worries we're feeling. The community is here for a chat whenever you need, so if it's helpful, you can always head over to the coffee lounge.0 -
Thank you for replying . Unfortunately I don’t have anyone else and I’m a full time carer for my daughter so I don’t really get chance to stop and try and process things .
I am so worried that DWP will take it to a upper tribunal and not agree with the decision 😔
but thank you for reaching out0 -

I am so worried that DWP will take it to a upper tribunal and not agree with the decision 😔They can't do that just because they disagree with the decision. They first have to request the Statement of Reasons and Record of proceedings. Once they receive those they need to find the error in law. They sometimes request them but rarely appeal it. If they request them it doesn't mean they are appealing them.0 -
Thank you for that info much appreciated !0

I totally get you, my parent won his tribunal on the 31st May, and the waiting around waiting for confirmation has been more stressful than waiting for the tribunal itself, like you me and my partner both start over thinking it and are worried that it will go to upper tribunal, well my partner thinks they’ll just not give him it. I know I’ve not said anything positive, just wanted you know you’re not alone, in wanting just some kind of confirmation.
fingers crossed we both don’t need to wait too long, and start to move on with it.0 -
Thank you for that and it is very stressful !
hope you hear something soon also0 -
Sorry forgot to say it can take 6 to 8 weeks or longer I have read on here to hear from DWP .0
