I am just wondering if anyone knows whether a gig venue can not provide a seat because the gig is sold out and would go against their fire regulations?

The gig is a standing one. And they have said they can’t let me have a chair because someone may trip over it if there was a fire.0

Hi there @Me_1329 it sounds like the gig organisers are avoiding their responsibility under the Equality Act to make reasonable adjustments or accommodations for disabled people! This is not acceptable.
I would urge you to read Scope's information on checking the accessibility of an event or venue, as it contains links to Equality Law and tips on asking for reasonable adjustments.
Please ask if we can help with anything else1
