Help with backpay dates

My partner won his tribunal end of last month, his letter from the tribunal says that 31/10/22 is set aside and that his award is from 26/08/22 to indefinitely (yes I know they don’t do indefinitely) so the august date confused me and when I looked at his paper work it says his award was dated 28/12/16- 31/10/28
so should his tribunal date been back dated to 28/12/2016.
so should his tribunal date been back dated to 28/12/2016.

This seems like it's an error because from 2016 to 2028 is 12 years, the longest PIP award is 10 years. If he's been awarded to 2028 and it's from 2022 then this isn't 10 years. Was this a transfer from DLA to PIP?I also note that you're waiting for the award to be put into payment because you want to order a mobility vehicle. However, your husband only scored 10 points for mobility which is the standard award. He needs Enhanced mobility (at least 12 points) to join the motability scheme so he doesn't qualify.I note he was claiming DLA at high rate mobility which would have qualified him for a mobility vehicle at the time.0

tribunal win his daily living component 16 points remained the same, but with an indefinite date
motability component went from 10 points to 12 with an indefinite date
so from 26/08/22 to indefinite
does that more sense?

@poppy123456
sorry I wasn’t clear above on the tribunal, we took it to tribunal after his renewal last October.
the photos of the letters are from the tribunal pack we was sent prior to the hearing.
hope that makes more sense0 -
Yes that makes sense. Then it will be from the date of the decision which is 31/10/2022. The photos above are referring to what award he had prior to the decision from the Tribunal. It doesn't mean he's owed money from 2016.
