Currently I am a carer for my brother I queried with the universal credit about them taking too much off for carers allowance and just got told several times that cause uc is paid monthly they take weekly amount of carer's allowance multiple it by52 then divide by 12 to get monthly deduction but it's that number they use which is more than the carers allowance is they make it out that carer's allowance is 83 14 a week but as many as you know its not that. Am I right for complaining about it or is universal credit right

Carer's Allowance is £76.75/week.
A monthly equivalent is £76.75 x 52 weeks / 12 months = £332.58/month. That is the amount used for the calculation of monthly UC payments.
There are more than 4 weeks in a month.
In a year you get 12 UC payments but you get 52 CA payments if get weekly or 13 CA payments if it is paid every 4 weeks.
The explanation UC have given you is correct. There is nothing to complain about.0 -
I believe it's wrong uc is paid 4 weeks in arrears. Plus the monthly sum you state is not what I get it's 307. Am complaining about the fact uc is taking more money off than they should. If I did this I be accused of a crime0

If I did this I be accused of a crimeUC is not paid 4 weeks in arrears, it’s a monthly benefit, paid monthly in arrears. Which is why you receive your payment on the same date each month. (Unless it falls on a weekend or bank holiday)CA is a weekly benefit. There’s 4.3 weeks in a month. To calculate the monthly deduction you multiply the weekly amount by 52 and divide by 12.There’s nothing at all to complain about here and you’ll be wasting your time.0

UC is paid monthly.A month is more than 4 weeks.
You get £307 x 13 payments each year = £3,991.
Each month UC has a deduction of £332.58. You get 12 UC payments per year. £332.58 X 12 = £3,991.
UC is not taking more money from you than you receive from CA.0
